The Bells - The Originals (NEW) 🔥

Happy weekend Firelight Romantics!! For tonight's Saturday Night Special, I present - The Bells by The Originals. For a little background for those who have never heard the group or the song, The Bells is a soulful R&B ballad released in January 1970 by the American vocal group The Originals. Produced by Marvin Gaye. It became the most successful single of the group's career. The lyrics explore the intense joy of a deep emotional connection, symbolized by the profound fear and despair of losing a loved one. It helped set a precedent for the sound of Marvin Gaye’s landmark 1971 album What's Going On, which you can hear in the song. I immediately feel in love with the classic 70's vibe to it, including the vocals. It's certainly one of my favs that I enjoy listening to whenever it comes up on my playlist. Anyway, Enjoy!! 💖
